About: With the help of thirteen mechanical puppets, Hila Flashkes creates a holographic version
of The Last Supper, the masterpiece by Leonardo Da Vinci. Flashkes uses this notorious image to
tell the story of a daughter who invites her family to the traditional Passover diner. It’s a dinner
filled with difficulties and absurd situations, in which food is a metaphor for the body, heartbeat,
breathing, life, the trivial loud sound of biting as opposed to death. In image and sound these
notions become direct opposites in this adult puppet show.
